Superintendents
Superintendents supervise all work in the field and ensure it is completed in a timely, cost-effective manner that complies with safety and quality control policies and procedures. Qualifications include related experience in construction of commercial and/or institutional building projects.
Estimators
Estimators are expected to accurately project the amount of material, labor, and equipment needed to complete a project, as well as the costs involved. In addition, estimators solicit bids from subcontractors and vendors, and ensure that the given sub/vendor can provide the amount of work needed to complete the project. Qualifications include the ability to read construction drawings and interpret project specifications. A Bachelor's degree in construction or engineering is preferred.
Project Managers
In addition to providing administrative and technical management to projects, Project Managers also oversee all activities related to contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, and project schedule(s). Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, along with basic computer knowledge.
